The Dragon's Cry

Background on Aisalin

Aisalin is a half-elf thief. She is slightly taller than Silvera (about 1.6 meters), and is more angular of figure and lackluster of dress--the latter necessarily, since flashy clothes are a death sentence in her line of work. She has dark brown hair, green-gold eyes, a triangular face, and a small, pointed nose. As half-elves go, she is relatively young at 50. As has been seen, she possesses a good amount of speed and dexterity, essential qualities for successful thieves. In the personality department, she is quite the loner, a result of her unhappy childhood among superstitious humans. The biggest fault she finds with herself is her tendency to want to belong to a group; hence, her spur-of-the-moment alliance with Shree.

Aisalin loves her work, and often has to stop herself from humming as she picks a lock. She is a mercenary by trade, but prefers to work for those with quasi-legitimate motives. Her youth is an asset insofar as she has fast reflexes, but she has only been working as a professional for the last few years, and her inexperience has gotten the better of her on more than one occasion. On other occasions, not all of them job-related, her mouth has gotten her into trouble. She has a good memory and a talent for math, and knows her way around all kinds of strange places.

I didn't want to get caught up in the name-meaning craze, but I created this character before I thought of introducing her into the story, so her name does have a meaning. It comes from the Irish name Aislinn, which means "dream." And it doesn't start with an S!!!! :)
