One and a Half

A composition for pen and paper (or alternatively ASCII text)
by Kelson Vibber

Dig a hole and pile the dirt.
If it’s wet you call it mud.
If out of shape, your back will hurt.
(Please don’t try this in a flood.)
Notice now you have a hole.
Next step is to halve a whole.
How can you have half a hole?
Sounds to be impossible.

Stanzas length of 8 lines each,
None are written on the beach,
So if you will do the math
This contains one and a half.

Project: write a poem using the phrase “one and a half.”
