Disappearing Float Testcase

Note the floated block at the upper right. In the MIX06 (March 20) version of the IE7 Beta 2 preview, do the following:

1. Hover over the link below.
2. Press ALT to make the menu bar appear, re-flowing the page.

The floated div is now gone. It will reappear after you resize the window or refresh the page.

Other ways to trigger this instead of switching windows:

• Switch to another window that covers this one, then switch back.
• Make the page narrow enough that you have to scroll to get back to the top from the anchor.

Hover here: no problem.

Here are the conditions I've found so far:

• The anchor must change a block property on :hover. Background, margin, border or padding will do it. Color won't.
• The anchor must be in the first block element (or implied block) after a block ending in italicized text. This could be an <address>, text wrapped in <i>, or text with text-style: italic applied via CSS. <em>.
• If you use an <address> element, there must be only one on the page.
• The anchor must be in the last block on the page.
