We like the new version of Wordpress but there are ongoing bugs with new features as they rollout new versions. Like Firefox 3 and their plugins, a lot of them are not caught up to the new version.

OK, it's fixed now. I ended up redoing it to use WordPress' standard loop, so I shouldn't have to change it again for a while.

Technical note: While I was at it, I took the opportunity to change the main page so that it pulls the list in by AJAX instead of SSI. This meant I could get rid of the remaining <a href="http://www.hyperborea.org/journal/archives/2008/03/14/whats-dynamic/">server-side code</a> and make it all client-side, so it should work with caches better and (in theory) load faster. (The drawback is that the list of new blog posts only appears if scripting is enabled.)

Thanks for catching that. It doesn't seem to be a browser issue; the script just isn't pulling any headlines.

It's a custom script I wrote for a much older version of WordPress, so I guess the changes finally caught up with it. Time to redo it, I suppose...
