I Voted for Kodos

No comment on the candidate, since I don’t live in the city, just… is anyone else reminded of these guys?
Image from The Duff Brewery. Incidentally, while looking for a page on “Citizen Kang,” I discovered that “I Voted for Kodos” is also the name of a band.

I remember the characters, but not their names.
They’re Kang and Kodos, and made several appearances in the Simpsons “Treehouse of Horror” Halloween specials.
The “Citizen Kang” episode took place during the 1996 US Presidential election. The two aliens replaced Bill Clinton and Bob Dole, and despite the fact that they were exposed before the election, Kang won…because no one was willing to vote for a third-party candidate.
It ends with the population of Earth being forced to build a giant laser cannon or something, and in response to someone complaining, Homer says, “Don’t blame me, I voted For Kodos.”
Ahh, so they were in Futurama, but were carry-overs from The Simpsons?
Neat.
I just wonder how you could put a name on a sign that makes you think of the word, “Sucky.” *shrugs*
Crazy name to try and get elected with.
