Well, a couple of weeks ago the sky was brown with smoke from all the wildfires, and it was 100 degrees, and we’re in the middle of a drought (not that you can tell from these pictures, but it’s a saltwater lagoon so I figure they probably pipe in water from the ocean — which is literally across the street behind where I was standing).

But yeah, overall it’s nice here!

Man, I wish I lived in California. It looks so nice there.

Over a year ago, one of my colleagues talked to Geoff Johns at WW Chicago, and he reported that Johns told him he’d be writing the Flash for the foreseeable future (this was before the ongoing was announced — can’t remember if Rebirth had been announced at the point). I’m glad this turned to be true.

Yeah, it’ll definitely be interesting to compare Anaheim to Long Beach, seeing as how they’re both successors (in different ways) to Wizard World Los Angeles.

Great report. I was there all 3 days, around 2-3 hours each day. It was a good beginning year for LBCC, it is small, but intimate enough with the comic creators, plus I like it is 3 months after SDCC. I’m surprised to see half of the hall is artist alley. Hopefully LBCC got a good number of attendances, so they can continue next year. It’ll be interesting to see how Anaheim CC will do next April.
