I wonder if Lucasfilm will try to assert trademark over the Motorola/Verizon Droid? #

    All the ads say “Droid is a trademark of Lucasfilm, Ltd. and it’s related companies. Used under license.” So, I think they’re cool with it.

      Ah, I hadn’t noticed that! Good to know there’s no trademark battle waiting in the wings. I mean, yeah, Star Wars introduced the term to refer to robots, but at the same time it’s an obvious abbreviation for the name of the system that the phone runs on.
