Comments on: Invisible Grub Boot Menu

Hey guys, note that some grubs use the name grub.cfg and others menu.lst
they are the same i guess… just different names.

Great tip. I completely looked over this when configuring my system, and had a bitch of a time findiing ‘default font’. Figured it was a problem with choosing the wrong font, the whole time it was a mis guided splash screen… what a pain in the ass!

Thanks, i was just about to reinstall when I came across your website – a quick chroot into my ubuntu to edit the /boot/grub/menu.lst and everything was fixed.

Was my problem as well, with the slight difference that rather than a blank screen, I got some gibberish picture for the boot loading screen. Thanks!
