Two beings, each embodying the essence of the Marvel or DC universe, have become aware of each other for the first time, and have decided there can be only one. To that end, they have pitted a dozen pairs of superheroes against each other, usually matching similar abilities, to determine which universe will remain. The Flash raced against Quicksilver and won. Ultimately, the two universes were temporarily merged into the Amalgam Universe and then separated, both surviving.
