Cloudwalking

I had this funny dream about
Somebody watching me sleeping
I thought about it now and then
I never dreamed of a meeting

You walked in and I didn't know how
You knew my heart and my name
You walked away and my heart fizzled out
And I knew in an instant I just wasn't the same

Why don't we go out walking where my feet don't touch the ground
Why don't we go outside under the chandelier
Why don't we fly away and never come back down
Until we come right back to where we are not here

Out of the blue you found my door
I only gave you my number
All of a sudden all I want is more
We're pulling each other under

Flying high up into the sky
It's left me dizzy and reeling
And now I'm happy and I don't know why
I just know that I've got to hang on to this feeling

Why don't we go out walking where my feet don't touch the ground
Why don't we go outside under the chandelier
Why don't we fly away and never come back down
Until we come right back to where we are not here

I look up at the clouds and I see your silhouette
When I'm with you it's closer to perfect than I ever thought I'd get

Why don't we go out walking where my feet don't touch the ground
Why don't we go outside under the chandelier
Why don't we fly away and never come back down
Why don't we hold a fishbowl to our ear
Why don't we go out walking fifty feet above the ground
Why don't we watch the whole horizon disappear
Why don't we stop a while and think of what we've found
Before we realize that we were never here.
